Great location, near two stations within a minute walk that go uptown or downtown and reach major areas within 15 minutes. The free breakfast has great variety and is kept stocked over a 4 hour period, so there's no need to rush to get to the dining area. Staff is incredibly friendly and has answers for all your needs. There is always someone there willing to assist even in the late hours. Items such as laundry detergent, snacks, dryer sheets, and water are available for purchase near the front desk to make dirty clothes easier to deal with. You can even connect your phone to the washing machine to get it started without using coins! Rooms are large and have enough room for multiple people and their things. Multiple lights keep the room well lit and comfortable to rest in. A tall closet is stocked with many hangers, an ironing board, and an iron. The air conditioner is top-notch and keeps the room very cool and comfortable during very hot and humid days. The water in the bathroom runs very hot and comfortable, and the pressure is perfect. You can adjust the shower head to your preference as well. Behind the large mirror is space for your amenities. Housekeeping staff stops by every few days to bring fresh towels and sheets and do an incredible job. Overall, the staff is top-notch and makes for a fantastic stay in the heart of New York.

I have been staying at tge Hampton Inn Chelsea 3 - 4 times a year for the past 20 years and this year it was clear that Jessica Matthews no longer is the manager. She will be sorely missed and she absolutely deserved her promotion. However, the new manager I am ssure, will soon take control. The people at the reception need a lot more training in customer service except for Sharon, who always is super professional. The location is perfect with easy access to subway and shopping on 6th ave, although it was easy to see that New York is still suffering from Covid, it was outright sad to see how many shops closed. I certainly hope it will be bettter when I come back in September or October. The cleaning staff was just fine, they came every day asking if I needed clean towels etc. very good.

The location was great and walking distance to a lot of the main attractions/ places we wanted to go and the subway/ Penn station. The room was a good size considering we went for the cheapest queen bed option and we had a nice city view even though we didn't pay for that as an extra, so we were lucky! There was a little noise from other rooms through the corridor but not much through the walls so it wasn't too bad. The toiletries were a good extra as it meant we didn't need to take any shampoo etc The breakfast was pretty basic but we didn't really book it because of that, we had a lot of food plans around the city so we didn't use it a lot! I would recommend this hotel for the location, rooms in general were good and the bed was comfortable.

The hotel is blocks away from A, C, A, F, and M trains. This hotel is close to High Line Park. Donut Pub is ten blocks away. They serve croissant donuts and a variety of other donuts 24/7. This is an older building, and therefore, the rooms have a closet, the bathroom has a cabinet for all the toiletries, and a tub. The walls are more soundproof than other hotels I stayed in NYC. Housekeeping was every other day, and it was excellent! Do not forget to tip your maid. Coffee/ tea is available 24/7 in the lobby. The staff was friendly and polite.

15-20 minutes easy walk from Penn Station. My wife and I walked to the hotel at 11.30pm down 7th Ave and had no problem at all (we are both in late 70s). The next morning we walked to Grand Central (about 30 minutes) so we reckon it is pretty well located. We could have stayed closer to Penn Station on Grand Central but not for the same value including breakfast. Good Wi-Fi too.
